Build magazine names BVWMC best construction waste management organisation

The Recycling & Waste Management Awards, hosted by BUILD, celebrate the achievements and innovation made by the recycling industry. In 2019, BVWMC was named “Best Alberta Construction Waste Management Organization” at the he Recycling & Waste Management Awards.

The Francis Cooke Resource Recovery Centre was recognized for its work diverting 16 different materials from the landfill operation, responsibly managing about 80 per cent of the waste generated by the Bow Valley, our sustainable operations powered by a 20 kW solar power installation and recycled biomass for heating, protecting a pocket of endangered Limber Pine on our property, and our financially self-sufficient business model.
