Town of Canmore

The Town of Canmore provides the community with two recycling depot locations for both convenience and easy access to serve your needs:

Boulder Depot: located at 115 Boulder Crescent in the Elk Run Industrial Park, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Batteries (automotive)
Cardboard and boxboard
Electronic waste (e-waste)
Fluorescent light tubes and bulbs
Glass – clear and coloured
Magazines (into same bin as Newspaper)
Metal food cans
Milk jugs (plastic)
Milk cartons
Newspaper (into same bin as Magazines)
Paper - mixed
Plastics – mixed household
Scrub and brush
Used oil filters
Used oil, antifreeze, containers
Yard, leaf and garden clippings

Sobeys Depot: located at Sobeys Canmore Crossing #2 950 Railway Avenue, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Cardboard and boxboard
Glass – clear and coloured
Magazines (into same bin as Newspaper)
Metal food cans
Milk cartons NEW
Milk jugs - plastic
Newspaper (into same bin as Magazines)
Paper – mixed
Plastics - mixed

To make recycling more convenient, the Town of Canmore provides a Community Recycling Trailer. The trailer can be found in a new community each day of the week. In addition to making recycling easier for residents, the trailer is also used by the Canadian Rockies School Division to provide recycling for its school. The Community Recycling Trailer schedule is as follows:

Monday – Peaks of Grassi
Tuesday – Lawrence Grassi Middle School
Wednesday – Canmore Collegiate High School
Thursday – Elizabeth Rummel Elementary School
Friday – Eagle Terrace
Saturday – Rundleview Drive
Sunday – Three Sisters (Dyrgas Gate)

This Community Recycling Trailer accepts the following items:

Glass – clear and coloured
Magazines (into same bin as Newspaper)
Metal food cans
Milk cartons
Milk jugs – plastic
Newspaper (into same bin as Magazines)
Paper - mixed
